We use what are known as cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your computer. You can influence the use of cookies in two different ways:

  • You can prevent cookies – of any kind – from being stored on your computer using your browser settings. Please note that in this case you may only be able to use our website with restrictions or may not be able to use it at all.
  • Instead of blocking all cookies, you can also use the settings that will be shown to you in our setting form on your first visit to our website or via this. Depending on your decision, opt-out cookies will be set that will prevent the use of cookies that are not necessary to operate the website. Please note that these cookies will also be erased again by the settings in your browser.

We use two types of cookies:

Necessary cookies:

These cookies are required to operate our website. For example, this type of cookie is used to store your decisions about the settings for cookie use. You can prevent the use of these cookies by setting your browser accordingly. Please note that this may restrict or prevent the use of our website.

Statistical cookies:

We, or other providers of marketing or other services or contents that are integrated on our website, may use what are known as marketing or tracking cookies. These types of cookies help analyse users’ interests across different websites and on our website. They are used to show personalised advertising or information that the user might find interesting. These cookies will identify your browser and computer. These cookies can also influence which websites are displayed, which you visit later. We may share this information with our social media and analysis partners. It is possible that our partners will be in a position to combine this data with other information. You may have provided this other data yourself when using services voluntarily or this data may have been collected there merely through use.

General information

Recipients of data
We may use external technical service providers to operate the website, who will work exclusively on our behalf and are not permitted to process personal data for their own purposes, in particular service providers for hosting, sending newsletters, as well as spam and misuse prevention. In this context we also comply with all the requirements of data protection law and oblige our service providers to do the same, as far as is necessary. Insofar as is necessary we will transmit your personal data to service providers we have commissioned or processors or supervisory authorities among others, in order to make it possible to provide our range, to provide additional services or to analyse how our range is used. Please note – as also described above – that these third parties may have access to your personal data.

If no other periods of time are given above or in the consent form for cookies, we will store your personal data for the duration of our business relationship or your visit to our website. Your personal data will be erased when our business relationship or your visit to our website ends. Please note that we are subject to retention and documentation obligations. These result from the German Commercial Code and the German Tax Code, among others. The retention obligation according to the German Tax Code is 10 years and according to the German Commercial Code, 6 years. If there is such a retention obligation, we will initially block your personal data, i.e. restrict processing, and erase the data after the expiry of the retention period.
